Research Programmes

The Centre is working on the following research

1. A randomised control trial of the therapeutic approach being used by the Centre
2. A regional study of the prevalence and distribution of Troubles related trauma
3. The development of a conflict resolution approach based on cognitive therapeutic principles

The following research programmes are planned for the future:

  •  A study of the health economics of trauma
  •  A study of the views and perspectives of patients and therapists
  •  A follow up to the Omagh Community Study undertaken after the  Omagh bombing by the Sperrin Lakeland Trust
